How to judge the UV ink has been cured by UV lamp completely? There are four main methods. Sometimes, the ink surface look like has been cured already. Actually not. Then, how to judge the ink has been cured already? User need to take some professional methods.
1. Pencil hardness test: Testing by pencil hardness-testing device, if the testing result can meet requirement(3-4h) that’s mean the ink has been cured already. Otherwise, You need to check the power of UV lamp and the speed of UV printer’s belt.
2. solution test: Drop Propionic Acid Solution on the surface of ink. Two minutes later, if UV ink has some changes, this proves that the UV ink have not been cured completely. If the UV ink has been cured already, internal molecule structure will change into double bond. Then curing will be finished. The surface of UV ink will have a layer of strong coating.
3. Pressure test: Put a little of cotton fiber on the surface of products, then add 500g flat weight on it. A few minutes later, take the weight away, if the cotton fiber not adhere on the products, that’s mean the UV ink has been cured already. Otherwise, it is not be cured.
4. Appearance of UV ink: The surface of cured UV ink is very smooth but not irregular. The edge of products not have shadow. Printing effect is perfect.
