Power of UV lamp:
1. UV lamp’s power just radiation energy, it is also called penetration. Firstly, it must need to meet the requirements of the Absorbed wavelengths and power density of UV ink. If UV power is not enough, even the time of UV lamp light is longer , no matter how many times the media has passed the UV lamp, The printings can’t be complete solidify. On the contrary, it will be cracked on the surface of UV ink. Besides UV ink will be brittle and has a poor adhesion. That will cause the adhesion in different color layers is poor. Because lower powered UV lamp can’t penetrate bottom of ink. So the bottom of ink will be lack of curing.
2. Common power of UV ink is 80~160W/cm. More power will bring more heating also. Therefore, For different printing products, how to cool is very important for manufacturers.
3. The best useful life for UV lamp is 8000-10000 hour. User need to change a new lamp after use 8000-10000 hour. Because the ultraviolet ray of UV lamp become very weak, it reduce curing effect. Meanwhile, during the working time of UV lamp, depends on different working environment(dust content of air), we suggest users use Absolute ethyl alcohol to wipe the lamp tube and reflector, then turning the lamp tube 90 degrees. It will help UV radiated into UV ink or varnish completely. To ensure sufficient penetrating power.
