Market survey shows that the lifespan is five years for high quality micrometer print head of UV Printer, it can be true under the circumstance that users adapt carefully maintenance and select high quality ink. Please don’t think UV printer maintenance and high quality ink will spend cost, bright high resolution effect of high quality ink can make more profit than the effect of bad quality ink. However, the cost of UV printer maintenance is less than the cost that change print head. So, once print head clogged, it will spend more cost caused by damage. So, how to lengthen the lifespan of print head ?

Print head needs constant temperature and dust-free environment, pay attention to measure home temperature and humidity, keep the balance.

The print head of solvent ink UV printer is easily clogged. The reason of clog is that ink solvent volatilized, ink particle will be freezed in the nozzle caused print head clogged. Another reason is about ink impurity or other foreign matters produced by the reaction of solvent, this matters blocked in the nozzle. This problem can be avoided through filter unit. It is installed in the ink tank, it can prevent dust and clot into ink supply system. There are some maintenance methods, normally using soft brush to dip in nozzle, then clean off ink outside nozzle by clean solution, after that, using sucker pump out ink in order to keep nozzle smooth.

Moderate maintenance is that making injection syringe with maintenance tube absorb clean solution before maintenance. Pulling down ink tube during maintenance, put ink tube insert to ink nozzle of print head through maintenance tube, clean solution with pressure flow into print head until print head be cleaned.

Polyimide thin film is common material for print head, this material is very weak. So, during any operation, please don’t touch nozzle surface by hand, hard matter or other stuff with dust in order to avoid scratch or erosion nozzle surface.

Chinese UV Printer manufacturers are becoming more and more, but only few can provide guarantee and warranty. Many manufacturers use bad quality print head to replace high quality print head in order to save production cost. It will affect the resolution of design and it is easily damaged and extremely waste printing material and labor cost.
