During the production of Inkjet Printing, there are always large size design for image and printer output. So, designers should be attention to the setting of resolution when you are designing large size advertisement graph.

How to best resolution for Inkjet Printing ? Firstly, we should understand the concept of the graph  resolution. Graph resolution means image store volume of information, the number of pixels in per inch image. The unit of resolution is PPI(Pixels Per Inch), usually known as pixels per inch.

In graphic design, the resolution of image is measured by PPI, both width and height determine size and quality of image. For example, one image, width 8 inch, height 6 inch, resolution 100PPI. If keeping total pixels doesn’t change, reduce resolution to 50PPI under width and height are not changed, width will be changed to 16 inches, height will be changed to 12 inches.

When image resolution in advertisement digital printing, please notice when using high precision digital printing machine to output printing: Print files often matters and often large, if the resolution is very high, computer can not adapt it. Like photoshop make image, its pixel can not exceed 3,0000PPI. Usuallly, setting the resolution of digital printing at 72dpi. If document is too large,Photoshop click menu. Image/image size show actual size should adapt to the volume of article to exceed 400M. Reducing resolution so that compress the size of file within 400M. If so, it will be smooth when operate design and webpage is opened, it will not make computer be slow when file is too large.

The requirement of storage format after design is finished. Maybe there are lots of people ask, which format should we use to save output file ? In the common output printing RIP Software, like maintop software, it support JPG, TIF and so on. JPG file is convenient that save and preview after complete design. It is also convenient that delivery, lead, type setting and output printing. However, TIF file not only save space , but also save the file transmission bandwidth of the file.
