During multi-functional UV printers, UV ultraviolet curing printing is typical product. According to different application solution, usually, we divide tradition printer into indoor printer and outdoor printer, they separately use water based ink and eco solvent ink. Here, let’s talk about some knowledge of UV Printer.

Both UV flatbed printer and UV roll to roll printer are common high printing speed and high resolution UV printer. Such as, Meitu company’s MT-TS1325 flatbed UV printer and MT-R180 roll to roll UV printer, these two types are typical products that adopt UV ultraviolet curing printing.  So, what does UV mean in UV Flatbed Printer and UV printer ?  In professional opinion , UV has three kinds meanings, they are  ink, curing theoty and printing method.

Firstly, the knowledge of UV ink during UV printing:

Updated device adopts UV ink, it is different from water-based ink, textile ink, oil ink and solvent ink, it is a kind of chemical ink between solvent ink and oil ink. It has light corrosivity. So, please attention to avoid UV ink touching body during daily work. There is big difference on the price for Chinese UV ink and imported UV ink when you select UV ink. Please know that UV ink has three grades , grade A is imported ink, it costs around 1000 – 3000 RMB. Grade B is original ink from print head manufacturer, it costs around 500-1000 RMB. Grade C is Chinese ink, the price is less than 500 RMB.

Curing principle of UV printing

Curing adopts internal cooling curing principle which no smell, no heat, no bubble within extremely short time. It is determined by photosensitizer of UV ink. When photosensitizer touch UV, the interior will be freezing and dry rapidly in order to reach curing effect. The wavelength of Chinese curing light at the range 35 to 46, the wavelength of curing lamp is depend on different production purpose of curing lamp manufacturer. The differences between UV curing lamp and mercury lamp is that UV curing lamp has low heat, no burnt down material, no pollution, no leak mercury to pollute environment.

Printing method of UV printer:

UV printer adopts piezoelectric printing technology. Print head will print on media and UV ink be sprayed on the surface of material, then ink will be dry through irradiating by LED lamp on the either side of print head. The features of UV Printer are material dry rapidly, instantly dry after printing, instantly get result after printing, no need waiting long time. This will promote to finish orders. Flatbed UV printer can printing on any media, such as metal, stone, wooden, glass and so on. Roll to roll UV printer can printing any roll material, UV Printer is compatible with all paper types coiled material, it can be compatible with more medias than traditional eco solvent printer. Meanwhile, UV printing has better effect of image restoration. Printing products is colorful and 3D effect, UV ink has strong adhesive force and durable. So, UV printer can be applies to different industries
